In the field

I got really lucky on Friday and got to go out in the field to do fish sampling.

One of my coworkers and the fish biologist collecting samples by electroshocking.

The snake that kept following us around after we let it go.

Stunned, but alive.  They were counted and released.

The Wisconsin River.

It was a good day.

Running

I would run and jump into bed after turning out the lights before the monsters under my bed could get me. :)

Worn Down Castle

I'm sorry Nathan Fillion - I really am - I tried to stay with you.  There are still some funny moments, heartfelt moments, goofy, etc, but I'm just worn out.  The Castle-Beckett relationship is becoming a Booth-Bones scenario.

I will come back from time to time, but I'm not intrigued by the storyline anymore.

A few of the shows with this crime show formula have caught my attention, but none of them have been able to hold onto it for more than a few seasons, in some cases a few episodes.

Maybe it needs to be more complex than this formula to keep my attention for an extended period of time.

I watched 'Mona Lisa Smile' and remembered how much I love Maggie Gyllenhaal:

She is so gorgeous!

I mean, really - how can you deny that??

Solo Apartment

I have moved into my first solo apartment.  I don't have roommates - my kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom are all mine. :)

It is really great to come home and be able to cook in my kitchen.

My latest baking endeavor: banana bread - because I didn't eat my bananas fast enough. :)

A coworker was playing with her pen - *click click* *click click*, etc.  It made me think of Goldeneye:

I wanted to stand up and exclaim "I AM INVINCIBLE!!!" :)

Space Bubble

There comes a point in my day (where my blood sugar is probably low) when people around me get really irritating. :)  For example, I find myself wanting to throw office supplies over cubicle walls if she uses "um" "uh" or "like" one more time on a phone call or he clicks his tongue in the staccato five click sequence just one more time. There seems to be a correlation between my level of irritation and the size of my personal bubble.

My irritation level can get such that I want to be back at home, under a blanket, alone.

I'm just stressed out at this point.

An easy fix: CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! :-D
